The project brings together the immediate power of information and communications technologies via Facebook, Coca‑Cola & Take-Two Interactive Software.

To celebrate in a unanimous adoption by UN member states of the first ever annual day of global ceasefire and non-violence on 21 September - Peace Day. Facebook, Coca‑Cola & Take-Two Interactive Software are collaborating via communications technologies to change the way young people interact and learn about the world, signaling a new potential for peace-building.

Take-Two Interactive Software is producing a game which it hopes to increase mutual respect, trust and understanding among youth 14 to 25 years. Peace-building on Facebook with cross-border friendship pairing in Israel and Palestine. The initiative is supported by Facebook who publish daily friending rates across the region. Coca‑Cola will be raising awareness of Peace One Day via the iconic Piccadilly Circus and Cromwell Road signs in London and donating to the initiative.

According to Jeremy Gilley: ‘Our goal is to take the message of Peace Day to the world's people. To have the support of via Facebook, Coca‑Cola & Take-Two Interactive Software to help us achieve that is incredible. The role of the 3 corporations is crucial in helping us to unite the people of the world on 21 September.
